Fankam Mendjiadeu earns fourth AAC Weekly Honor nod

The junior forward posted a pair of double-doubles last week
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – For the fourth time this season, junior forward Dulcy Fankam Mendjiadeu has been named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll, the league announced Monday afternoon. Fankam Mendjiadeu helped lead Memphis to a 1-1 week highlighted by a road victory at Wichita State on Wednesday.
Fankam Mendjiadeu posted back-to-back double-doubles last week, increasing her season total to 11. She led Memphis in the road victory at Wichita State with 19 points and 12 rebounds before scoring 13 points and pulling down 11 rebounds in the Tigers' home game against ECU on Saturday. The 11 double-doubles rank second in the AAC this season behind Temple's Mia Davis.
For the week, Fankam Mendjiadeu shot 52 percent from the floor and 85 percent from the charity stripe. With her 11th double-double, she is the 17th player in program history to record at least 11 double-doubles in her career.
The Tigers hit the road again this week with a trip to Philadelphia, Pa. Memphis tips off against Temple at the Liacouras Center at 11 a.m. CT Wednesday. For more information on the Memphis women's basketball team, follow the Tigers on social media at @MemphisWBB.
