MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis forward Dulcy Fankam Mendjiadeu has been named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll for the third consecutive week, the league announced Monday afternoon.
On Saturday against Alabama, she scored 19 points and grabbed 9 rebounds despite the Crimson Tide's efforts to triple-team her throughout competition. This marked her fifth double-digit scoring game of the season.
Fankam Mendjiadeu ranks fourth in the nation and leads the AAC with 12.7 rebounds per games and her 17.2 scoring average ranks her third in the conference. She is also the Tigers' team leader in both categories.
"Dulcy walks into every game with a target on her back. People know that she's a good player and coaches prepare their teams for her," said head coach Melissa McFerrin. "We've really been working hard on how to handle these situations and Dulcy continues to execute everything that we practice. We're proud of her growth and we're excited about her potential."
The Tigers will face Houston at 12 p.m. on Tuesday at the Elma Roane Fieldhouse. The game will air on ESPN+. For more information on the Memphis women's basketball team, follow the Tigers on social media at @MemphisWBB.
