Women's Basketball Hosts Cincinnati on Wednesday

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – After a five-game winning streak was snapped in its American Athletic Conference opener, the Memphis women's basketball team looks to rebound at home against Cincinnati on Wednesday. Tipoff at the Elma Roane Fieldhouse is set for 7 p.m. and will be streamed by the American Digital Network.

Last time out for Memphis, the Tigers were edged out at Houston. Despite five Tigers scoring in double-figures, Memphis allowed 22 points off of turnovers, allowing the Cougars to defend home court.

With five more, she will take sole possession of first place, passing LaTonya Johnson's 47. Johnson's record has stood since the 1994-95 season. Griggs leads the AAC in made triples and is third in the league in three-point percentage, hitting them at a 46.7 percent clip.
On the national level, Griggs' 43 three-pointers are tied for second in the country among freshman, 17th in the nation regardless of class. Her percentage is also the second-best among Division I freshman, and is 15th overall. Griggs is one of four student-athletes in the country to rank in the top 20 in both makes and percentage.
All-time against the Bearcats, Memphis leads the series 35-20, including a 17-7 record in Memphis. Cincinnati is Memphis' second-longest rivalry, with games dating back to 1977-78. Memphis has only played Southern Miss more times (57).
