Women's Golf in Kentucky for Bettie Lou Evans Invitational

The University of Memphis women's golf team is in Kentucky this weekend for the 30th annual Bettie Lou Evans Invitational, hosted by the University of Kentucky at their Big Blue Course in Lexington. The par 72 course will play 6,114-yards for the 13 teams in this year's field. This is the first three-day event of the season for the Lady Tigers, after playing two-day events in the first two events of the season.Â

Akron, Cincinnati, Eastern Kentucky, Indianapolis, Marshall, Memphis, Middle Tennessee State, Murray State, Kentucky, Penn State, Rutgers, Tulane and Western Kentucky
Tournament Format
This event is an 18-18-18 event played Friday, Saturday and Sunday.Â
Round one tees off at 8:30 a.m. (ET) on Friday.Â
Sunday's final round will be a shotgun start at 9 a.m. (ET).
Defending Champs
Host Kentucky swept team and individual medalist honors last season. The team took a two-stroke win (858) over Penn State while now-graduated Leonie Bettel grabbed individual medalist honors with a 205.Â
Memphis History at the Event
Memphis had all five golfers post a final round under par to set a school single round record 278 at last year's event. Memphis finished fourth out of the 12 teams in the 2019 field. Michaela Fletcher and Sydney Colwill each posted top 10 finishes at the event. On the current Lady Tiger roster, Abby Herrmann finished T39 with a 225 (+10) while Victoria Gallegos posted a 227 to finish T42 while competing as an individual.Â
