Michaela Fletcher Earns Third All-Conference Honor

Senior led Memphis to a third place finish at The American Championships
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – For the third time in her career, University of Memphis senior Michaela Fletcher was named to the American Athletic All-Conference team as announced by the league Friday.
Fletcher had a strong spring for the Tigers, leading Memphis to a third place finish at The American Championship in Palm Coast, Florida. Her three-day total of 216 placed the Pietermaritzburg, South Africa native in a tie for sixth place, marking her third top-10 and eighth top-20 performance of the season.
At the Memphis Women's Intercollegiate, Fletcher carded a career-low 66 in the final round to win her second collegiate tournament. She also finished with a school-record 205 through 54-holes to lead the Tigers.
After earning medalist honors at the Memphis Women's Intercollegiate, Fletcher was named The American's Golfer of the Week for the second time in her career.
Her 71.9 scoring average through 27 rounds this year is a career-low. She finished with five rounds in the 60s this season.
Fletcher and the Tigers will now wait for the NCAA Selection Show set to take place on Wednesday, April 24 at 4:30 p.m. CT on the Golf Channel in hopes of an individual or team berth in the NCAA Regional.
