Women's tennis caps regular season with in-state showdown

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – In its regular season finale, Memphis women's tennis will travel to Murfreesboro on Saturday for an in-state showdown against Middle Tennessee.

In their last outing, Memphis (11-9) fell in a close 4-3 setback against North Texas. Laura Bente, Katherine Cao and Lina Hohnhold tallied victories in singles play to each extend personal win streaks to four matches.

Middle Tennessee (10-11) has turned in wins in four of their last five matches, including a 7-0 sweep of WKU on Friday. Costanza Magazzini primarily plays the top spot in the Blue Raiders' lineup and holds a 6-9 singles record.

Following Saturday's contest, the Tigers will prep for The American Championships, which begin Wednesday in Lake Nona, Fla.
