Women's tennis travels to New England for Ivy League matchups

Tigers open weekend at Brown, close trip at Harvard
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – After a two-week break, Memphis women's tennis returns to action this weekend for an Ivy League road trip with visits to Brown and Harvard.
Memphis will begin the weekend with a 4 p.m. match against Brown on Friday in Providence, R.I., before capping the New England trip with a meeting against Harvard in Boston, Mass., on Sunday at 10 a.m. Sunday's match will be streamed on ESPN3 and can be seen here.
Memphis (8-6) seeks to continue the momentum of a three-match winning streak. The Tigers have also claimed six of their last seven matches, dating back to Feb. 17.
Most recently, the Tigers swept a weekend in Birmingham, Ala., against UAB and Samford. After a 4-0 win against the Blazers, the Tigers posted a 5-2 win against Samford to capture their seventh win in nine matches.
Sophomore Alisha Reayer holds a three-match singles win streak behind a 6-5 overall record at the top spot. German sophomore duo Laura Bente and Lina Hohnhold have each tallied nine singles wins this season with identical 9-4 records. The tandem has also teamed up for a 4-1 mark in doubles play.
Brown (7-6) downed Stony Brook by a score of 6-1 last Friday to extend its win streak to three matches. Harvard (8-5) will visit Tulane on Thursday and host Quinnipiac on Saturday before facing the Tigers on Sunday.
