Men's tennis heads West for annual San Diego Spring Classic

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Seeking to snap a three-match skid, Memphis men's tennis travels to the West Coast for the ninth annual San Diego Spring Classic.
The Tigers (9-7, 1-1) begin play against No. 36 San Diego on Friday at 12 p.m. (CT). Live scoring of Friday's match will be available here.
Co-hosted by the University of San Diego and San Diego State University, Memphis' bracket also includes No. 50 Princeton and AAC foe Wichita State. The tournament also features opening-round matchups between No. 38 Harvard and San Diego State along with No. 49 Tulane and Drake.
The Tigers seek to return to their winning ways after dropping a three-match spring break trip at Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Wichita State. Senior Chris Patzanovsky has anchored the top spot for the Tigers with a 10-4 record. In doubles, duo Oscar Cutting and David Stevenson checked in at No. 30 in this week's Oracle/ITA national rankings. The tandem has compiled a 7-5 ledger, all coming at the No. 1 position.
