Women's Basketball Announces Summer Camps

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis women's basketball team and head coach Melissa McFerrin have announced the dates for skills camps that will be held this summer. The 2019 Melissa McFerrin's Hoops School Team Camp is on June 6th and the Day Camp runs from June 17th-20th.

The Team Camp is a single day tournament featuring teams from around the region in competitive match-ups. There is a three game minimum and opportunity to compete in unique "Nerves of Steel" tournament. Filled with fantastic game-winning plays, this tournament is a tremendous teaching tool for coaches and players alike. This camp is open to any team aged 13U or older and takes place at the Larry Finch Center.

The 2019 Day Camp, which runs from June 17th-20th, is a fun-filled instructional camp held for our youngest future Memphis Tigers. Each Camper will develop individual basketball skills with a focus on the fundamentals of the game through station and position work taught by college players and coaches. Skills learned in stations and position work will be implemented in game situations. Team concepts will be taught and stressed throughout the camp.

The cost of the Team Camp is $250 per team. The Day Camp is priced at $225 per camper and $250 if the camper registers on the day of camp.
