Dulcy Fankam Mendjiadeu Named to AAC Weekly Honor Roll

Nkongsamba, Cameroon native recorded 13 pt, 13 reb double-double in win over UAB
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Women's basketball's Dulcy Fankam Mendjiadeu was named to the American Athletic Conference's Weekly Honor Roll after leading Memphis to a dominant 77-52 win over UAB on Sunday.
 
Recording her third-career double-double, Fankam Mendjiadeu scored 13 points and pulled down a career-best 13 rebounds in the win. The junior also came away with three steals in the victory.
 
The Nkongsamba, Cameroon native leads the Tigers in rebounding on the year with 7.3 boards per game. Her average is ninth in the AAC. In addition to her three double-doubles, Fankam Mendjiadeu has scored in double-figures in all but two of the games in which she has appeared this season.
 
Defensively, Fankam Mendjiadeu has recorded 11 steals and nine blocks, helping hold three opponents to field goal percentages under 30 percent this season.
 
The honor roll nod is the first of Fankam Mendjiadeu's career.
 
Looking ahead, Memphis remains at home for its next game, as the Tigers will take on the Arkansas State Red Wolves on Saturday. Tipoff at the Elma Roane Fieldhouse is set for 2 p.m. The Tigers will host their second Tiger Toy Drive game to benefit children in need.
