Tigers host SMU in semifinal round of AAC Tournament

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – After capturing the 2019 American Athletic Conference regular-season title, No. 8 Memphis women's soccer shifts its focus to the semifinal round of the AAC Tournament on Thursday evening at Park Avenue Campus. Tickets for Thursday's semifinal round are $5 for adults and $3 for children ages 2-12, while children under 2 years of age and students with proper ID will be admitted free. Tickets may be purchased at GoTigersGoTix.com and at the event gate.

Five Things To Know About Memphis
- The Tigers claimed their fourth regular-season conference title in program history behind a 3-0 shutout at Tulsa on Thursday. With the win, Memphis earned the No. 1 seed and host bid in this week's AAC Tournament.
- On Tuesday, six Tigers were selected to All-Conference teams, while three student-athletes earned AAC Player of the Year accolades. Clarissa Larisey was voted the league's co-Offensive Player of the Year, Elizabeth Moberg was named the Goalkeeper of the Year and Mya Jones was selected as the Rookie of the Year. Joining the three, Stasia Mallin garnered First Team All-Conference honors. Serena Dolan and Tanya Boychuk were named to the AAC Second Team, while Jones was a unanimous choice for the All-Rookie team.

A Look at SMU
SMU advanced to the semifinal round of the AAC Tournament after a 1-0 win at fourth-seeded Cincinnati on Sunday. A second-half goal by Brooke Golik was all the Mustangs offense needed to secure the win, as the SMU defense limited the Bearcats to eight shots in its 10th shutout of the year.
Allie Thornton leads the SMU offense with 12 goals, while Celiana Torres, Hannah Allred and Jewel Boland have each contributed five scores. Torres also paces the Mustangs in assists with six this season. Tatum Sutherland has served as the primary keeper for SMU. The freshman has logged 1568 minutes in net and has registered 60 saves against 14 goals allowed.
