MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis women's basketball team plays host to George Washington Sunday morning. Tip-off against the Colonials is set for 10:30 a.m. at the Elma Roane Fieldhouse.

Memphis looks to rebound after falling in its first road game of the year at Louisiana Tech. Four Tigers scored in double-figures in the loss, led by Jamirah Shutes' 21 points and a career-high seven assists. Madison Griggs, who added 14 points, splashed home four triples on five attempts. Defensively, she ranks third in the league in steals, averaging 3.3 in the early goings of the year. Her 5.3 assists per game rank fifth in the AAC, and her 18.3 points per game is eighth in the conference.

George Washington heads to the Bluff City after falling to Lehigh in its last outing, dropping a 59-53 final on Wednesday. Led by Sydney Zambrotta's 18 points, the Colonials couldn't overcome turnover problems, leading to the visit to Memphis with a 1-2 record.
Zambrotta leads the team with 13.3 points per game, with Tori Hyduke also chipping in 11.0 points per contest. As a team, the Colonials are shooting 41 percent from beyond the arc, having knocked down 16-of-39 from deep.
