Tigers' senior forward averaged 21 points, 5 rebounds in two league games
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – University of Memphis reserve forward Kyvon Davenport continues to get recognized for his stellar play off the bench.

Davenport was named to the American Athletic Conference Honor Roll for his play in the team's recent games against Wichita State and Houston. For the 6-foot-8 senior from Gainesville, Ga., it represented the third time this season he has honored with the award.

Through 15 games, he has scored in double figures 12 times. He also has recorded four games of 20 or more points.

In the games against Wichita State and Houston, Davenport averaged 21 points and five rebounds in the two games and shot 56.5 percent from the field.

In the team's 85-74 win over Wichita State at FedExForum Thursday, Davenport came off the bench to score 25 points and grab five rebounds. He was 7-of-11 from the field and 9-of-11 from the free throw line as the Tigers earned their first AAC victory.

In Sunday's 90-77 loss at 17th-ranked Houston, Davenport had 17 points and five rebounds in a season-high 35 minutes.

Memphis (9-6, 1-1 AAC) plays East Carolina at 8 p.m. Thursday at FedExForum.
