Chris Braswell Signs With Memphis Baseball

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Chris Braswell, a right-handed pitcher from Bartlett High School, has signed a National Letter of Intent and will join the University of Memphis baseball program for the 2020 season, head coach Daron Schoenrock announced.

"The improvement we have seen in Chris over the past calendar year has our coaching staff excited about his arrival. He has the knack of making big pitches in key moments and we look forward to being a part of his development at the University of Memphis," Schoenrock said.

A member of the 2018 District Championship team at Bartlett High School, Braswell pitched 44 innings and record a 1.75 ERA with 57 strikeouts. Helped the team to a 28-13 overall record. The district Player of the Year, he was also named all-metro and all-region. Braswell had a dominating 12-strikeout game against Covington High School. Represented Team Tennessee at the Sun Belt National Tournament.

Braswell is the son of Anthony and Tina Braswell.
