Get To Know Me: Madi Ray

Freshman has been one of Memphis' top-five performers in the team's two races in 2018.
Madi Ray is today's Memphis cross country "Get To Know Me." A freshman from Newbern, Tenn., Ray has placed among the team's top-five finishers in her first two collegiate races this season. She has one top-25 performance in the Sept. 15 Rhodes College Invitational. Prior to joining the Tigers program, Ray starred on the course for the Dyer County High School Lady Choctaws. As a senior in 2017, Ray helped lead the Lady Choctaws to the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association (TSSAA) Class AAA state championships, where they placed 14th. On the way to the state championships, Dyer County won the Region 7 Large Division title and placed second in the TSSAA Region 7-AAA race. Ray finished 10th in the TSSAA Region 7-AAA race.
