Tigers Tidbits
- This is Memphis' first participation in the KMS Invitational. The meet has been held in Birmingham since 2014.
- The Tigers enter the KMS Invitational after their first full week of practice. The teams' practice schedule heading into last week's Vanderbilt Invitational was limited due to winter weather conditions in the Memphis area.
- The Tigers performed quite well in the Birmingham Crossplex at last season's American Athletic Conference Indoor Championships. Memphis took home four conference titles (women's mile/Martina Rodriguez Sala; men's high jump/Jordan Wesner; men's triple jump/Olushola Olojo; men's 4x400 relay).
- Memphis also set two school records at the Birmingham Crossplex last season. Luke Vaughn's shot put mark (59-7; 18.16m) was a school record. A school record also was set in the men's heptathlon.
- After two meets this indoor season, Memphis has set three school records. Sophomore Cera Chavez now holds the school indoor marks in the women's 60 and 200 meters. The Tigers' 4x400 meter relay set the school record twice this season.
