Tiger Pair Named Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholars

NORMAN, Okla. - Two Memphis Tiger golf standouts - Sydney Chung and Kevin Lee - have been named to the Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar List presented by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA), announced on Wednesday morning.
To be eligible, an individual must be a junior or senior academically, compete in at least three full years at the collegiate level, participate in 50 percent of his team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 76.0, and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade point average of 3.20. An honoree must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.
Chung led the team in scoring average during the season, averaging 73.8 strokes per round and had three top-20 finishes. He had 10 rounds during the season at or under par, including at the East Bay Deli Classic at Kiawah, where he finished tied for eighth overall with an even-par three-round score of 216.Â
Lee had a scoring average of 75.6 during the season, including a season-low round of 68 in the final round of the 2017 American Athletic Conference Championship. He tied for 23rd at the Memphis Intercollegiate, and 30th at the AAC Championship.
