Women’s Golf Teeing Off at 3M Augusta Invitational

Lady Tigers to play three rounds over three days.

MEMPHIS – The Memphis women's golf team is in Georgia for its third event of the spring and will participate in the 3M Augusta Invitational, Mar. 17-19, playing 18 holes each day. The event, won by the hosts last year, will be played at the 6,248 yard Forest Hills Golf Club.

Memphis will send five golfers to the event after finishing as co-champs in their last outing in Florida and in second place in their first event of the spring at the 2017 Central District, Michigan State's tournament.

Michaela Fletcher, Leighann Cabush, Madison Thomas, Sydney Colwill and Emily Goldenstein will make up the Tiger contingent at the event. First round tee times on Friday begin at 9:30 and Memphis will go off of tee one on Friday.

Memphis is one of 14 teams in the event. The Tigers will be joined in the field by host Augusta, Coastal Carolina, Columbia, Daytona State, Eastern Michigan, East Tennessee State, James Madison, Kennesaw, Ole Miss, Purdue, Tennessee, Troy and Virginia Tech. Memphis will be teamed with players from Coastal Carolina and Kennesaw State on the first day of the tournament on Friday.
