- Memphis continued to hold their 15-plus point advantage, and when Kyvon Davenport converted a layup with 12:43 left, the Tigers led 71-54.
- LeMoyne-Owen made one final push with an 8-2 run over the next 1:30 to cut the Tigers' advantage to 11 at 73-62. It was the closest the Magicians got to Memphis since being down 33-23 with over eight minutes left in the first half.

- Memphis, though, answered with a 14-2 run to extend its lead out to 23 points at 87-64 and put the game out of reach.

- The Tigers continued to slowly pull away, and a Davenport dunk at the 11:39 mark gave Memphis its first double-digit lead of the game at 26-16.
- LeMoyne-Owen quickly cut the lead to nine at 28-19 on a Reshun Ellis three-point play with 11:11 left in the first half. That was as close the Magicians got the rest of the game.
- The Tigers went on a 12-4 run over the next four minutes to take a 40-23 advantage.
- Martin had six points, and Davenport added a trey in the run.
