Perrot and van Meijel Named to All-Conference Team

Pair are the second and third Tigers to earn American Conference Honors
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Memphis senior Thomas Perrot and junior Lars van Meijel have been named to the American Athletic Conference Team, the Tigers' second and third American Conference award winners in program history.
The pair have been the bedrock of the lineup for the Tigers this season, helping lead the program to the NCAA Regionals in Kohler, Wisconsin on Monday-Wednesday.
van Meijel leads the team with a 71.5 stroke per round average, and has seven top-20 finishes on the year, including a 14th place finish at the 2016 American Athletic Conference Tournament.
Perrot is a fraction of a point behind van Meijel in scoring average at 71.5, and also has seven top-20 finishes. Most recently he finished as the American Athletic Conference Tournament individual runner-up with a six-under par three-round total.
Perrot earned two tournament medalist honors during the year at the WKU Kenny Perry Invitational and at the Colleton River Collegiate. van Meijel was the top individual finisher at the Pinetree Intercollegiate, as the pair have finished 1-2 in the Tiger lineup in seven of nine events during the season.
Earlier this season van Meijel was named to the European Team for the Arnold Palmer Cup, and is a semifinalist for the Jack Nicklaus Award, given to the national Player of the Year.
