Men’s Tennis Grabs Four Wins on Day Two

MEMPHIS –The four Tiger men's tennis players at the Bobby Bayliss Invitational at Notre Dame each played two singles matches and each grabbed a win, Saturday.
Sophomore Chris Patzanovsky bounced back from a morning match loss to Michigan's Myles Schalet, 6-2, 7-5, with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Indiana's Oliver Sec in the afternoon.
Freshman Turner Voges also bounced back from a morning setback, falling 6-3, 7-5 to Marquette's Andre Romanello, but downing Romanello's teammate Alexander Warstler, 7-6 (5), 6-3 in the afternoon match.
Junior Shakeel Manji won his opening match, defeating Drew Dawson from host Notre Dame 4-6, 7-6, 7-6. Following his win, he got in to another tough three-setter in the afternoon, falling 2-6, 7-5 , 7-5 to Penn State's Gabriel Nemeth.
Freshman Jan Pallares also came back from a morning loss, 7-5, 6-3 to Notre Dame's Guillermo Cabrera, and defeated Wisconsin's John Zordani 6-4, 6-4 to close the afternoon's schedule.
The foursome will wrap up the tournament with one round of doubles play before returning to Memphis on Sunday.
