Men's Soccer Travels to Marshall for Conference Showdown

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Memphis men's soccer team (5-2-1, C-USA 0-1-1) travels to Huntington, W.Va., for a Conference USA match-up against Marshall (4-4-0, C-USA 1-0-0). The Tigers look to avenge last-season's double-overtime loss, 2-1, to the Thundering Herd.
Despite dropping its last two contests, Memphis is off to one of the best starts in program history. The Tigers are outscoring their opponents 15-10 on the season, while seeking to end the two-game skid.
Sophomores Mark Sherrod and Liam Collins pace the Tiger-attack. Collins is ranked third in the country in assists and fourth in assists per game, while Sherrod is sixth in both goals scored and goals per game and 10th in total points.
Marshall enters the contest on a four-game win-streak. The Thundering Herd began the season by losing four-straight contests, but began playing well just before start of conference play.
