MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis (4-2-3, 0-0-2 American) men's soccer team allowed a goal just 33 seconds into its match against Jacksonville (4-3-2, 0-2-2 Atlantic Sun) Tuesday night at the Billy J. Murphy Track & Soccer Complex.

Despite posting season-high marks in shots and corners, Memphis was unable to draw level after conceding a goal in the opening minute even with registering nine shots in the first half and 11 in the second frame.

KEY MOMENTS

1' – A simple clearance up the pitch by Jacksonville's back line found its way into the final third, with Dante Wright registering a shot, which was parried away by Mathias Christensen right to the feet of Romain Spailier to put Jacksonville up just 33 seconds into the match.
6' – The Dolphins had a quick chance to go up by two just minutes later when a Memphis defender slipped on a breakaway, but Quinten Koster's shot was off target.
21-24' – Memphis gained a pair of chances on free kicks at the edge of the area but were unable to convert on shots by Zackarya Oumamass and Junior Saint Juste.
