• Memphis dropped a game to East Carolina for the first time in school history. The previous nine meetings had all belonged to the Tigers, with an average victory margin of 16.4 points.
• The Tigers used a starting line-up of Antonio Barton, Will Barton, Tarik Black, Charles Carmouche and Chris Crawford, their 16th starting line-up this year, tying the Tigers with Georgia State for most starting line-up combinations in the nation.
• Freshman Antonio Barton led the Tigers in scoring for the fifth time this season, finishing with 15 points.
• For the second game in a row, only one Tiger (A. Barton) scored in double figures.
• Senior post Will Coleman blocked his 100th career shot.
• The Tigers doubled up ECU's points in the paint (36-18), the first time since Jan. 12 against SMU that Memphis doubled its opponents' points in the paint.
• Junior Charles Carmouche earned his 100th career steal, and also scored his 200th point in a Memphis uniform.
• Memphis turned 10 Pirate turnovers into 18 points, the third time since Jan. 26 Memphis has earned double-digits in points off turnovers.
• Freshman Will Barton pulled down his 100th career defensive rebound.
• Home Cookin': ECU more than doubled Memphis in free throws made (21-9) and attempted (29-14).
• After shooting 4-for-16 (25 percent) from beyond the arc against East Carolina, Memphis has now gone 12 games without shooting better than 35 percent from three-point territory.
• Sophomore D.J. Stephens scored his 100th career point.
