* The Tigers improve their record against the Knights to 9-0, with an average margin of victory that now stands at 22.6 points per game.
* With the victory, head coach Josh Pastner reached 40 victories at Memphis in 54 games, tying him for second-fastest all-time with Wayne Yates (1975-76) and only one game behind Bob Vanatta (1957-59).
* Freshman Will Barton made his first three shots en route to a game-high 17 points on the night. It marked Barton's fourth consecutive game in double figures, and the seventh time this year he's led Memphis in scoring.
* Freshman Tarik Black had three blocked shots in the game's opening five minutes; he finished with a career-high, and Tiger season-high, five swats.
* The Tigers tied a season low with four first-half turnovers.
* Hot Start: Memphis is shooting 53.1 percent from the field in the first half of their last five contests.
* Cold from deep: Opponents are shooting 17.4 percent (12-for-69) from three-point range in the Tigers last four games.
* For the second game in a row, the Tigers opponent did not make a three in the first half.
* UCF didn't make a three-pointer until the 10:46 mark of the second half, the longest an opponent has gone without making a three against the Tigers this season.
* Freshman Joe Jackson scored the 200th point of his young Tiger career and was the Tigers second-leading scorer with 12 points.
* Five of Conference USA's top 11 shot blockers were featured in this game, which featured 15 blocks, led by Black and UCF's Tom Herzog and Keith Clanton, who blocked two shots each.
* Sophomore Drew Barham finished with a career-high five assists.
* UCF, which entered the contest sixth in the nation in defensive field goal percentage at 37.9 percent; the Tigers shot 48.5 percent from the field, just the fourth team to shoot above 45 percent against UCF this season.
* Memphis, which brought Conference USA's most potent offense into tonight's game (averaging 78.1 points per game) raised what was UCF's league-leading 60.4 points per game allowed average.
* The Tigers set a season-high with 25 fast break points.
* Memphis was outrebounded by UCF, 47-33, the Tigers largest deficit on the boards since Miami (Fla.) out-rebounded the U of M, 51-31, on the second night of the season.
* Not taking advantage: No opponent has shot above 70 percent from the line against the Tigers since Tennessee State, Jan. 2, shot 87.0 percent (20-for-23) from the charity stripe.
* Memphis is outscoring opponents by an average of 15.6 points per game in the paint in the last six contests.
* The Tigers turned 22 Knight turnovers (tied for second-highest number forced by the Tigers this season) into 26 points, the most Memphis has gained off turnover since getting 29 going the other way against Kansas.
* Senior Will Coleman pulled down the 300th rebound of his Tiger career.
* For the second time this season, the Tigers failed to hit 50 percent from the line, going 6-for-14 (42.9 percent).
