 Memphis captains for today's game were seniors Brandon Hunt, Andy Smith and Joseph Doss.

 Fullback Greg Hinds did not play in today's game because he was suspended indefinitely. Backup quarterback Will Hudgens had his first action at fullback and had a six-yard reception on Memphis' first drive of the game.

 Sophomore receiver Duke Calhoun had an eight-yard catch in Memphis' first drive of the game to extend his streak to 20 games. Calhoun has caught a pass in each of his 20 career games for the Tigers and has also logged multiple receptions in 17 of 20 games. He finished the day with eight catches for 107 yards.

 Calhoun registered his fifth career 100-yard game; his second of the season, with his 107 yards in today's game. In the last three straight games, Memphis has had a 100-yard receiver (Calhoun 119 yds vs. Rice; Jones 119 vs Tulane).

 Sophomore kicker Matt Reagan put the first points on the board for Memphis with his 37-yard field goal with 10:36 remaining in the first quarter. The 37-yard make was a season-long for Reagan.

 Maurice Jones registered his first career kick return when he replaced Earnest Williams in the second quarter. Williams left the game following an injury he suffered on a punt return. Jones had 11 yards on the return. Jones ended the day with three kickoff returns for 36 yards.

 Matt Reagan connected on a 24-yard field goal with 6:18 left in the second quarter, marking his third multiple field goal game of the season. It is also the seventh time in his career that he has connected on multiple field goals in a single game.

 Duke Calhoun caught a 14-yard touchdown pass from Martin Hankins with just over a minute remaining in the second quarter to cut the Tigers' deficit to eight points, 21-13. Calhoun has caught a touchdown pass in three of the last four games.

 Tailback Joseph Doss moved up one spot to No. 6 all-time in the Tiger record book for career rushing yards. He totaled 40 yards on 12 carries and now totals 1992 yards for his career. With today's yardage, Doss surpassed Terdell Middleton who tallied 1,970 yards from 1973-76.

 Duke Calhoun moved up to 12th in career yards and 11th in career receptions (82). He is tied for 12th with James Thompson (1971-73) with 1,183 career yards.

 Carlos Singleton caught a five-yard touchdown pass from Martin Hankins with 12:09 left in the third quarter. It was Singleton's fourth touchdown catch of the season and the second straight game that he has scored for the Tigers. Singleton has also caught a pass in the last 17 straight games. Matt Reagan missed the PAT.

 Joseph Doss registered his fourth rushing touchdown of the season off a two-yard run with 3:34 left in the third quarter. Doss has scored from the run in two of the last three games. He now totals 13 career rushing touchdowns and 15 total TDs.

 Redshirt freshman Henry Harris (Memphis, TN) recorded his first kickoff return in the third quarter. Harris, who saw action against both Ole Miss and Jacksonville State, returned the ball 21 yards. It was his only return of the game.

 Carlos Singleton caught a 14-yard touchdown pass with 14 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter for his second score of the game. It is the first game that the sophomore from Brownsville, Tenn., has caught two TD passes in a single game. Reagan missed his second PAT of the game.

 Carlos Singleton ended the day with 100 yards on six receptions for his first 100-yard receiving game. With Duke Calhoun turning in 107 receiving yards, this is the first game since 2003 that Memphis has had two receivers with 100 yards in a single game. That year, Darron White and Darren Garcia totaled 102 and 104 yards, respectively against Mississippi State.

 Quarterback Martin Hankins registered a career high with 416 yards and four touchdowns against the Pirates. Hankins completed 34 of 60 passes and threw two picks. The 60 attempts equaled his career high, which he posted in the first game against Ole Miss. Hankins is the first Tiger to pass for 400 yards in a single game. He surpassed Danny Wimprine who threw for 398 yards in 2003 against Mississippi State.

 Hankins tossed four touchdowns in the loss to East Carolina, setting a career high for the senior signal caller. He had previously registered games of three TD passes twice this season (vs. Rice & JSU) and five times in his career. His four TD passes ties for second all-time at Memphis in a single game, and marked the first time a Tiger QB has thrown four TDs in a single game since Danny Wimprine did so in the 2004 GMAC Bowl loss to Bowling Green State. The last QB to register four TDs in a Tiger win was Wimprine in a 41-24 victory over ECU in 2003.

 Memphis gave up 641 yards of total offense in the game. The last time a Tiger opponent has racked up over 600 yards of total offense was UCF earlier this season. ECU recorded 494 of those yards in the rushing game. The last time a Memphis opponent rushed for over 400 yards was Georgia, who rushed for 408 yards in 1982.

 Taz Knockum scored a touchdown with 2:38 left in the game. It was Knockum's first career touchdown. He caught a career-high three passes for the game. The Tigers opted to go for the conversion following the touchdown, with Martin Hankins completing a pass to Carlos Singleton. It was Singleton's third conversion catch of the season.

 Memphis scored 40 points in today's game, marking the first time since 2005 that the Tigers have scored 40 or more points. Memphis defeated Chattanooga, 59-14, in the second game of the 2005 season. The last time Memphis scored 40 or more points in a conference game was in a 56-49 loss to then 14th-ranked Louisville in 2004.
