NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The University of Memphis men's tennis team (1-1) dropped a 6-1 decision at No. 20 Vanderbilt to open the 2005 spring dual season road schedule, Friday afternoon. Junior Alex Jago posted Memphis' lone singles victory, winning 7-6, 7-5 over Ryan Preston at No. 4 singles. Jago and doubles teammate Mark Finnegan also came close to picking up a win in doubles, taking the No. 3 team of Matt Lockin and Jordan Magarik to a 9-8 (7-4) decision.
