El Paso, Texas-- - The University of Memphis women's tennis team fell to 9-9 on the season with a 6-1 loss to No. 67 Long Beach State in the final match of the Lady Tigers' Texas road swing, Sunday.
Memphis claimed the doubles point from the nationally ranked 49ers when the duo of Christina Ladyman and Sabrina Lindemann won an exciting No. 1 doubles match, 9-8. The score of the tiebreaker was 11-9, Memphis.
The No. 2 team of Betsy Card and Annika Westberg also downed their LBSU opponents, 8-5.
