Basketball Coach Tic Price Resigns

MEMPHIS, TN. - George "Tic" Price, Head Basketball Coach for The University of Memphis, has resigned his position, effective immediately.
Athletic Director R.C. Johnson has named Associate Head Coach Johnny Jones as the Interim Head Coach for the 1999-2000 basketball season. Johnson said that a national search to fill the position on a permanent basis will begin immediately.
