- 2010
Keeta Matthews continues to rank in the Memphis women's basketball career record book in double-doubles (third with 36), career scoring (5th with 2,133 points) career scoring average (18.1 points per game), rebounds (5th with 926) and steals (4th with 283).
A three-time Great Midwest first team honoree her freshman through juniors seasons, Matthews helped the Lady Tigers rebound from a 12-16 record her freshman season to a two-time NCAA tournament team her junior and senior seasons. As a junior, Matthews and her teammates snapped an eight-year NCAA tournament appearance drought with a 22-8 season that included a second round appearance in the Big Dance.
In the Tigers' time in the Great Midwest, Matthews was named to GMC Newcomer of the Year and the GMC All-Tournament Team.
As a senior, Matthews helped the Tigers to a 20-11 overall record and to the inaugural Conference USA tournament championship. The Tigers used a thrilling 93-87 overtime victory over DePaul in the first C-USA championship game to advance to the NCAA tournament before falling to Ohio State. Matthews was named the tournament MVP of that first C-USA tournament, also earning second team, all-conference honors.
The Memphis native held the school record for career free-throws made (551) and attempted (766), and her 83 steals during the 1993-94 season ranked as the 7th-best single-season total in school history on her induction to the M Club Hall of Fame.
