Sullivan joined the Tigers in July 2023 and was promoted to assistant coach in June 2025. He spent the 2024-25 season as the director of analytics.
As director of analytics, Sullivan oversaw all scouting operations, including film, scouting reports and statistical analysis. He played a critical role in molding the 2024-25 offense, which finished second in the American Conference with 68.9 points per game. Sullivan also oversaw the equipment operations for the women's basketball team and served as Nike GameDay representative for the men's and women's tennis, rifle and volleyball programs.

Sullivan comes to Memphis after spending the 2022-23 season as a graduate assistant for the Gardner-Webb men's basketball team. Prior to that, Sullivan was an assistant coach at DeSales High School from 2018-22.
Sullivan is a 2022 graduate of the University of Louisville, where he received his bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
