Connor Mooney

Mooney joined the Tigers in June 2024 after spending a season as the Strength and Conditioning Coach at Colorado State where he primarily worked with the women's basketball and tennis programs. Prior to his work with the Rams, Mooney had stops at Eastern Michigan, Saint Leo University, The System8, University of Tampa and Colorado Mesa.
He transitioned from his original role as the associate director of athletic performance for women's basketball to his current role of director of sports science for volleyball in July 2026.Â
Mooney earned his Bachelor's in Exercise Science from Colorado Mesa University in 2018 and completed his Master's in Exercise and Nutrition Sciences from University of Tampa in 2020. He received his PhD in Health and Human Performance from Concordia University Chicago in May 2025.
Mooney is an NSCA certified Strength and Condition Specialist (CSCS) and a Registered Strength and Conditioning Coach (RSCC).
