Bio
Wagner, who once scored 100 points in a high school game in New Jersey, played one season for coach John Calipari and led the Tigers to the National Invitation Tournament title over South Carolina at Madison Square Garden in New York.
On Nov. 14 -- just two games into his college career -- he scored 32 points against Old Dominion. He tied his season high with another 32-point game in the NIT semifinals against Temple. He scored 16 points in the NIT championship game and was named the tournament MVP.
Wagner averaged 21.2 points in his only season and was selected in the first round of the NBA Draft (sixth pick overall) by the Cleveland Cavaliers.
