Sam Curtis joined the staff at the University of Memphis in January of 2020.

He is organized, hard-working and cares so much about the overall success of every detail that will lead to our day-to-day functionality. We are thrilled that Sam and his wife Evelyn are coming back to this region to join us!"

Curtis has spent the last three seasons at USC. He joined the Trojans operations staff as an assistant director of operations in 2017 and was promoted to the director position last season.Â

Curtis was a four-year letterman (2011-14) at UT Martin as an offensive lineman. Following his 2015 graduation from UTM with a degree in public relations, he was an intern at Walt Disney World in the college program, then served as a assistant team clubhouse attendant for the Atlanta Braves before starting grad school at Tennessee.

He was at Tennessee as a football operations graduate assistant for the 2016 season and stayed in the SEC and spent the first half of 2017 as a football operations assistant at Georgia. He completed his master's degree in sport management from Tennessee in 2017 before joining the staff at USC.Â

He and his wife, Evelyn, return to the Mid-South to join the Tigers. He is a native of South Fulton, Tennessee.
