• Scotlandville's appearance in the state's semifinals in 2016 was the school's first in six decades
• The Hornets lost, 38-6, in the state title game to Evangel Christian Academy, played before 15,719 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome
• In the LHSAA state championship game, the Hornets' offensive line yielded its first sack of the season
