Austin Fitzpatrick joined the Memphis Athletic Department in January 2025 as the senior athletic trainer.
In his current role, he is responsible for all healthcare needs of the baseball program while overseeing the Olympic athlete training room and directly supervising athletic training fellows.
Prior to moving to Memphis, Fitzpatrick served as an assistant athletic trainer at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee from 2022-24. While with the Panthers, he oversaw athletic training needs for the baseball and cross country programs. He also served as a preceptor for Master's of Science in Athletic Training (MSAT) students and taught wiithin the MSAT curriculum.
Fitzpatrick also had a stop during the 2021 season as a fellow athletic trainer for baseball at Mississippi State, being a part of the team that won a national championship.
He is also an active member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association.
Fitzpatrick holds a bachelor's degree in exercise and sport science from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, as well as a master's degree in athletic training from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Fitzpatrick, originally from La Crosse, Wisconsin, spends his free time hiking, mountain biking and hanging out with his rescue dog, Sadie.
