Virginia Commonwealth: Started the 2005 season as the No. 3 pitcher in the VCU rotation...Logged a 7-5 record with 84 strikeouts, a 5.77 ERA and one save in 33 appearances on the mound while at Virginia Commonwealth...Progressively improved every year at VCU and posted a 4-2 mark, with a 6.50 ERA in 11 starts while fanning 47 as a junior in 2005...Saw five appearances out of the bullpen for the Rams last year...Helped VCU take home the Colonial Athletic Association title and advance to the NCAA Regionals each of the last two seasons... 2004 (Sophomore): Started 5 games in 12 appearances on the mound...Recorded 28 strikeouts in 32.1 innings pitched...Also recorded a save against North Carolina on May 12... 2003 (Freshman): Marked a 1-0 record in five appearances...Pitched 9.0 innings, giving up 11 hits, six runs, walked four and struck out nine.
