Elected a team co-captain for the 2010 season by his teammates at the conclusion of fall practice...Worked extremely hard to recover from hip surgery...Appears ready to solidify a spot as a weekend starter for the Tigers.
2009 (Junior)
Worked primarily as Memphis' No. 2 starters...Compiled a 2-5 record with a 5.71 ERA...Started in all 12 games he pitched in...Struck out 53 batters in 64.2 innings of work...Finished the season strong, winning two of his last three starts...Held opponents to a staff-low (starters only) .278 batting average...Made his first 10 starts on Sunday before being moved into the Friday night starting role for his final two outings...Was highly effective as the No. 1 starter, going 1-1 with 12 strikeouts and a 2.98 ERA...Was 1-2 in seven C-USA appearances...Led the Memphis staff with 29 strikeouts and a 5.40 ERA in 41.2 innings in league play...His two wins came against Kansas (Feb. 22) and Southern Miss (May 8)...Fanned six in six innings to help Memphis to a 2-1 win over the Jayhawks in the 2009 Service Academies Spring Classic...Struck out five and allowed just two earned runs in 6.1 innings in a 5-4 win over USM (5/9/09)...Turned in a career-night, striking out eight in six innings in a no-decision outing versus SIU-Edwardsville (4/12/09)...Struck out seven and held East Carolina to two runs in six innings (5/14/09).

2007 (Redshirt Freshman)
Redshirted 2007 season after being sidelined by an early-season injury...Did make two appearances, including one start...Was dominant in those two outings, holding the opposition scoreless in 4.1 innings of work. Struck out five (no walks) and allowed just two hits in 15 batters faced...Opponents hit just .133 against him...Saw his first action on Opening Day vs. Ole Miss (2/20/07)...Fanned two in 1.1 innings...Made the start in the home-opener vs. UT-Martin...Struck out three and no-hit the Skyhawks through three innings.
2006 (Freshman)
Pitched in just two games before suffering a season-ending elbow injury...Struck out five in just three innings of action...Drew his first start against Mississippi State (4/19/06)...Struck out three and held the Bulldogs hitless in two innings...Came on in relief against Troy (3/10/06) in his first collegiate appearance...Fanned two in an inning of work.

Earned All-Conference, All-Region and All-State honors in his high school career...Was a four-year letterman for Coach Ed Rich at Southaven High...Pitched, played first base and outfield for the Chargers...2005: Went 7-1 on the mound with a 0.71 ERA...Hit .450 as the Chargers advanced to the Mississippi Class 5A State quarterfinals...2004: Hit .337 with six homers and 32 RBI as a junior...Went 7-0 and maintained a 1.14 ERA on the mound with 81 strikeouts in just 49 innings of work...His junior campaign was highlighted by a 16-strikeout performance against Northwest Rankin in the 2004 State Playoffs.
