Tigers Travel to Arkansas for the Chile Pepper Invitational

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Memphis men's and women's cross country teams travel to Fayetteville, Arkansas, for the Chile Pepper Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 3, at Agri Park.
This marks the first time Memphis will compete in the event since 2010.
Hosted by the University of Arkansas, the meet features the men's McDonnell Memorial 8k at 10:25 a.m., followed by the women's Harter's Habanero 5k at 11 a.m. Fans can follow live timing and broadcast coverage via the links above.
Memphis enters the meet following a team sweep in both the men's and women's races at the Rhodes Invitational at Shelby Farms Park.
On the men's side, James Marimbe led the field with an individual victory in the 8k, crossing the line in 25:50.60. Teammate Robert Randall finished right behind as the runner-up with a time of 25:52.40. Alex Bobak came in seventh and Jackson Turner
placed ninth to round out the top 10 for the Tigers.
In the women's 5k, Reese McDevitt paced Memphis with a third-place finish in 19:11.20, closely followed by Brooke Doyle in fourth with a time of 19:44.80. Jasmine Williams placed sixth and Grace Schaff placed seventh to secure the team win.
