MEMPHIS, Tenn. – For the third time in four seasons, the University of Memphis Men's Basketball program will compete in the NCAA Tournament as the No. 5 seed in the West Region.

As you gear up to support your Tigers, we're here to help answer your frequently asked questions.

TEAM SEND-OFF FROM MEMPHIS
Wednesday, March 19
Fans can gather out front of the Laurie-Walton Family Basketball Center at 8:45 a.m. Thursday to help us send the Tigers off to Seattle!

GAME INFORMATION
No. 5 seed Memphis takes on No. 12 seed Colorado State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday, March 21 in Seattle, Washington.

Tip-off is slated for 1:00 p.m. CT from Climate Pledge Arena with the game being aired on TBS.

The winner will advance to the second round and will take on the winner of No. 4 Maryland and No. 13 Grand Canyon on Sunday, March 23.

Memphis and Colorado State have only ever met once on the hardwood, with the Tigers winning 90-67 on March 27, 2021 in the semifinals of the NIT in Frisco, Texas.

FAN EVENT INFORMATION
Thursday, March 20 | Memphis' Open Practice

Where: Climate Pledge Arena
- 334 1st Ave N, Seattle, WA 98109
When: 11:45 a.m. – 12:25 p.m. PT
This event is FREE and OPEN to the public.

Swing by Climate Pledge Arena to watch the Tigers practice. Memphis will be the second team of the eight participants to practice at the arena. Doors open at 10 a.m. and Colorado State takes part in the first practice at 11 a.m. For the full schedule, click here.

Thursday, March 20 | Memphis March Madness Kick-Off

Where: Sheraton Grand Seattle, Fountain Wine Bar
- 1400 6^th Avenue, Seattle, WA
When: 7-9 PM PST
What: Staff and Fan gathering (drinks and food NOT provided by UofM)

Friday, March 21 | Team Send-Off on Gameday

Help us send off the Tigers as they leave the hotel for the arena on gameday.
Where: Sheraton Lobby
When: 8:45 a.m. PST
- Spirit and Band will be in attendance.
- All fans are encouraged to show up!

The Tigers and traveling party will be staying at the Sheraton Grand Seattle.

Located in downtown Seattle, Sheraton Grand Seattle is adjacent to the Seattle Convention Center and steps from Seattle's most iconic local attractions such as Pike Place Market, the Space Needle, Lumen Field and Chihuly Garden & Glass.

TRANSPORTATION
All guests receive a free public transit pass for Light Rail service or the Seattle Center Monorail alongside their ticket for every publicly ticketed event at the arena. Click HERE to plan Light Rail Service to Climate Pledge Arena and HERE for the monorail.

The Seattle Center Monorail is a two-minute walk from the Sheraton and is located on the third floor of the Westlake Center shopping mall.
- Westlake Center Station: 400 Pine Street, 3rd Floor, Seattle, WA 98101
The monorail runs between Westlake Center and Seattle Center (home of the Space Needle).
- Seattle Center Station: 305 Harrison Street, Seattle, WA 98109
The monorail runs approximately every 20 minutes and the journey takes about 3 minutes.

CLIMATE PLEDGE ARENA: POLICIES
If necessary, guests are permitted to bring one clear back that does not exceed 14" x 14″ x 6 in size OR small clutches/purses/wallets that do not exceed 4″ x 6″ x 1.5″ in size. Prohibited items include knives, firearms or weapons of any kind, professional cameras, artificial noisemakers and laptops. Click HERE for more on all of Climate Pledge Arena's policies.

Arena Garage – Climate Pledge Arena operated, this garage is accessed via underground and has complementary EV charging stations.
1st Ave N Garage – Climate Pledge Arena operated and located across Lenny Wilkens Way south of the Arena.
5th Ave Garage – Seattle Center operated and located on the east side of campus.

HOW TO WATCH/LISTEN TO THE FIRST ROUND GAME
Those not in attendance can stream the game on TBS or the NCAA March Madness Live stream , listen on the Memphis Tiger Network or follow along on NCAA.com
