Turner Earns AAC Weekly Honor Roll Nod

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – After a big weekend at the plate, University of Memphis INF/OF Cy Turner was named to the American Athletic Conference's Weekly Honor Roll, the conference announced Monday.
Turner, a junior from Pacific Grove, California, went 7-for-14 at the plate last week, slashing .500 / .533 / .786 to lead the Tigers offensively. He slugged a three-run home run in Memphis' 7-4, series-clinching win over Lindenwood on Sunday afternoon to put the Tigers on the board in the second inning.
In Friday night's win over the Lions, he went 3-for-3 with a double and a walk and added two hits and scored a run Saturday. For the week, his seven hits and 11 total bases led the squad.
The Tigers (11-8) hit the road to Nashville for a midweek game at Lipscomb (5-13) on Wednesday afternoon at 4 p.m. before heading to Greenville, N.C., to open AAC play at preseason-favorite East Carolina (12-8) Friday through Sunday.
