After Navy put up seven points early in the second quarter, quarterback Brendon Lewis found Matt Adcock for the one-yard reception to regain the lead.

Memphis took a 17-14 lead heading into the half.
Getting the ball to start the second half, Navy strung together an 18-play drive that ended when the Midshipmen fumbled the ball on the snap and Joey Hunter came up with the recovery for the Tigers with 4:57 left in the third quarter.
Memphis went three-and-out on its next two possessions in the third quarter while Navy took the lead with 1:01 left in the quarter after Alex Tecza ran in for a 12-yard score.
