Lewis Named to Maxwell Award Midseason Watch List
Oct 02, 2025 | Football
PHILADELPHIA – University of Memphis quarterback Brendon Lewis has been named to the 89th Maxwell Award's Midseason Watch List, the organization announced Thursday.
The Maxwell Award has been presented to the College Player of the Year since 1937 and is named in honor of Robert "Tiny" Maxwell, who was a former standout at Swarthmore College and a renowned sportswriter and football official.
The Dallas, Texas native has been wreaking havoc on opponents this season after helping the Tigers to a 5-0 start. In the air, Lewis has gone 83-for-124 for just over 1,000 yards and five touchdowns – four of them to former Nevada teammate Cortez Braham Jr.
As a dual-threat play-caller, Lewis is second on the team with 353 yards on 65 carries with six scores of his own. Most recently, Lewis crossed the pylons twice in the team's last two games against Arkansas and Florida Atlantic.
New this year, fans are encouraged to purchase early and save. Ticket prices will increase by $5 during game week and again by an additional $5 on game day at the Box Office. This change helps support enhanced planning for security, concessions and staffing. Historically, over 90% of single-game tickets are purchased during game week.
Season ticket prices remain unchanged from 2024, following a perfect 7-0 home campaign. With prices averaging under $25 per game, season tickets remain the best value for Tiger fans. Tickets can be purchased online at GoTigersGo.com or by calling the Memphis Ticket Office at (901) 678-2331.
