Kitagawa Dubbed American Conference Offensive Player of the Week

IRVING, Texas – Memphis midfielder Ai Kitagawa was named the American Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Monday afternoon.
Kitagawa, the 2024 Freshman of the Year in the conference, added three goals to her sophomore campaign last week, including two in the second half against Florida Atlantic to secure a 2-1 victory. She is second in the conference in goals (eight) and third in points (18).
The Itami City, Hyogo, Japan, native has 14 goals and nine assists in her collegiate career. She was already named the conference's offensive player of the week on August 25th for her goal and assist against Ole Miss.
Kitagawa and the No. 8 Tigers will be back in action this Sunday, October 19, as they travel to East Carolina at 11:00 a.m.
