TULSA, Okla. – The ninth-ranked Memphis women's soccer team is back on the road this Thursday, October 2nd, for a conference match with Tulsa at 7:00 p.m. The match will be broadcast on ESPN+.
The Tigers (9-0-2, 3-0-1 American) moved back into the top 10 of the United Soccer Coaches poll on Tuesday thanks to shutout wins over South Florida and No. 25 Rice. They are one of five teams yet to lose in the 2025 season.
Memphis will look for their fourth consecutive victory at Hurricane Soccer Stadium, holding an overall record of 15-2-4 against Tulsa. Last season, the teams drew 1-1 in the final match of the regular season, and the top-seeded Tigers came from behind to defeat Tulsa, 4-2, in the conference tournament quarterfinals.
The Golden Hurricane are coached by Jim Rhein, in his fifth year leading the program after eight years as associate head coach. They have improved each of the last two seasons, currently holding a record of 6-3-4. Last Sunday, they erased a two-goal second-half deficit in Tampa to earn a point against South Florida in a 3-3 thriller.
Senior forward Jordan Frederick is first in the NCAA with 26 points (10 goals, six assists), and Blaine Schutte is second on the team with seven goals and two assists.
