Tigers Ranked in Final AP Poll & US LBM Coaches Poll

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – After an 11-2 season that saw Memphis secure its fifth-straight bowl title with a win over West Virginia in the Scooter's Coffee Frisco Bowl, the Tigers finished the season ranked in both the US LBM Coaches Poll and AP Poll.
Memphis received 174 points in the Coaches Poll and 154 points in the AP Poll to check in at No. 23 and No. 24, respectively, in the final polls of the season.
It marks the first time since the 2019 season that the Tigers were ranked in either poll at season's end, when Memphis was ranked 17th in both polls.
No. 24 Memphis finished its season on a four-game win streak, including a Thanksgiving night win over then No. 17 Tulane and the win over Big 12 opponent West Virginia in the Scooter's Coffee Frisco Bowl.
Overall, the Tigers spent 10 weeks ranked or receiving votes in the AP Poll during the 2024 season and received votes or were ranked in 14 out of 17 editions of the Coaches Poll. Memphis was ranked in the final five Coaches Polls of the season and spent eight weeks in the rankings in total.
With its 11 wins, Memphis posted the first back-to-back double digit win seasons in program history and is 21-5 overall over the past two seasons. The 11-win season also marked just the second season in program history with 11 or more victories.
