KEY MOMENTS
- 13' – SIUE took a 1-0 lead after a turnover from the Tigers in the midfield. Nacho Abeal took the ball after a slip on the turf and made a run straight into the box where he drove a left-footed shot up and over the keeper to find the net.
- 17' – Less than five minutes later, Memphis responded with an equalizer to make it 1-1. Luciano Galizzi split the Panthers on a dribble to the end line, drawing the keeper near post, then played a ball back between three defenders to Anthony DiFalco who knocked it between the pipes from two yards out.
- 81' – Memphis nearly found a go-ahead goal when Anders Bordoy made a step and fired a rocket from the top of the box with his right foot, curling it around the defense, but SIUE's keeper made a terrific diving stop to his left to get a paw on it.
NOTABLES
- Memphis outshot SIUE 16-8 overall, including 7-5 in shots on goal. The Tigers have put at least seven shots on frame in five of the seven matches this season.
- DiFalco led the squad with five shots, while three others totaled two.
- The Tigers dominated the possession, earning 10 corner kicks to just three for the Panthers. Seven of those came in the final 45 minutes for Memphis.
- DiFalco's goal was the first of his career. He only recorded two assists in two years at Duquesne.
- Galizzi's helper was his first assist of the season and the sixth of his career. He is third on the Tigers with five points on the year.
- Goalkeeper Filip Sabatti recorded four saves in the draw.
