Landphere Named to John Mackey Award Preseason Watchlist

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – University of Memphis tight end Anthony Landphere was named to the 2024 John Mackey Award preseason watch list on Friday, the Friends of John Mackey announced. Given annually to the nation's most outstanding collegiate tight end, the award recipient is selected by vote of the John Mackey Award Selection Committee.
Landphere, a redshirt senior out of San Mateo, California, was a member of last season's 10-3 Tigers who defeated Iowa State in the 2023 AutoZone Liberty Bowl. The Phil Steele Second Team Preseason All-AAC honoree appeared in all 13 games and started a dozen while catching 29 passes for 260 yards and three touchdowns.
Memphis football fans can see the Tigers at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium in the team's season opener on Saturday, Aug. 31. Single-game tickets for the 2024 season can be found at THIS LINK.
