Tigers Get No. 5 Seed in American Athletic Conference Championship

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – After Sunday's results went final, the University of Memphis men's basketball team secured the No. 5 seed in the American Athletic Conference Championship.

Memphis (22-9) will play the winner of Wednesday's first-round matchup between No. 12 Wichita State and No. 13 Rice.

The defending AAC Champion Tigers will tip-off Thursday, March 14 at 1:30 p.m. inside Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas. Coverage will be available on ESPNU.

Memphis took both of its regular season meetings with the Shockers, winning 112-86 in Wichita on January 14 and 65-63 in Memphis on February 3. The Tigers, however, dropped its only meeting with the Owls (74-71) on January 31 at FedExForum.
