MEMPHIS, Tenn. – After knocking off No. 17 Tulane on the road to cap the regular season and secure the first back-to-back 10-win seasons in program history, the University of Memphis football team cracked the AP Poll Top 25 and remained ranked in the US LBM Coaches Poll for a third-straight week.
With 121 votes, Memphis (10-2, 6-2 AAC) checked in at No. 25 in the AP Poll Top 25, the first time appearing in the AP rankings since 2020. No. 24 Army remained in the poll to also represent the AAC, coming in one spot ahead of the Tigers.
The Tigers received 187 points in the Coaches Poll – 36 more than the Nov. 26 edition of the rankings but dropped one spot. Memphis checked in at No. 24, one spot behind No. 23 Army (10-1, 7-0 AAC), the only additional AAC team to be ranked.
Memphis now waits to learn its postseason destination and will begin preparation for the program's 11th-consecutive bowl game.
With a victory in their bowl game, the Tigers could earn 11 wins for just the second time in program history (2019; 12 wins).
